When I look back on my investment journey, it’s hard to believe where it all began.
One evening, I told my mother I wanted to start investing. Not in the stock market, not in mutual funds — but in crypto. She listened quietly, then did something I didn’t expect: she handed me ₹1,00,000 from her savings.
“I don’t understand this coin business,” she said, “but I understand you. Do it.”
I remember sitting in front of my laptop late that night, staring at the chart of a coin called Kadena. I don’t even know what drew me to it — maybe a gut feeling, maybe the thrill of risk. I put the entire amount in.
And then I slept.
The next morning, I woke up and checked my portfolio. For a few seconds, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. The ₹1 lakh had turned into ₹2.6 lakhs. Overnight.

It can be unimaginably rewarding.

It can be unimaginably dangerous.
That one lucky trade gave me my first ₹2 lakhs, but it also gave me a warning — if luck can make you money overnight, it can take it away just as fast.
Author’s Note: This is not an investment recommendation. Sudden gains in high-risk assets like crypto are rare and unpredictable. Always invest with caution, research, and a plan.
